Seeking support for Angie Ford and her family, as they absorbed numerous medical expenses in Angie's battle against stage IV metastatic breast cancer.
Background about Angie:
Angie lives in New Hampshire with her husband and two children. Her son is 12, her daughter is 10. Angie is a devoted and loving wife and mother who poured herself into homeschooling her children and selflessly serving her friends and church family. Her favorite pastime is hanging out with friends while playing boardgames, sports, or just talking around a campfire.
Her friends describer her as “the definition of an encourager”, having “an inner joy with a smile that is infectious”, “someone you wouldn’t want to do life without”, “a compassionate and caring person always willing to help others in need”, having an “honest and gentle heart that always puts others first”, and having “faith in Christ that is real and inspiring”.
Angie’s Cancer Journey
In October of 2023, Angie lost her mother to cancer following a long 2.5 year battle. Within a week of her passing, Angie discovered a lump in her breast. Further testing revealed it was breast cancer. Her symptoms worsened and scans revealed she had stage IV metastatic breast cancer. The cancer metastasized to her spine, pelvis, sternum, neck, and arm. It also caused her L4 vertebrae to fracture. Her prognosis was grim, and she was deteriorating fast, so her husband took her to Mexico where she would undergo treatment through Hope For Cancer. Hope For Cancer is an establishment which provides an integrative and alternative approach to cancer treatment. Unfortunately the cost of such treatment was not covered by the Ford's heath insurance. By the time Angie arrived in Mexico her cancer markers had tripled. While in Mexico she received many immune boosting therapies along with targeted radiation for her fractured spine. She responded well to treatments but still had a long road to recovery. Despite the success, she could not stay in Mexico any longer due to the cost of treatment. After returning home she has been battling severe sometimes debilitating pain. The clinic sent her home with a treatment plan. The treatment plan required the purchasing of very expensive equipment, supplements, medication, testing, and therapies at a local clinic. None of this is covered by insurance. She is now in the fight of her life. Her husband Greg had to cut his hours at work to assist her with her therapies and hold down the household. The exorbitant cost of her treatments exceeds the Ford's monthly income and has largely depleted their savings.
Angie and her family can certainly use your prayers and financial support. Her hope is to heal so she can faithfully serve Jesus and keep making memories with her beloved family and friends
