Urgent. Deadline 12/10/2025 Help My Son Angel Finish His Fight Against Cancer

My name is Ana, and I am reaching out as a mother who is scared, exhausted, and holding on to hope for her child.

Three weeks before his 18th birthday, my son Angel Montano was diagnosed with an aggressive but curable cancer called Germ Cell Tumor Mediastinum. In the moment we heard those words, our entire world changed. Instead of planning his future, Angel has been fighting for it.

Angel has already gone through months of intense chemotherapy, while being in cardio vascular ICU and it worked better than we could have prayed for. His tumor is now necrotic, and the next step is to have it surgically removed so he can finally move forward cancer-free.

This is where our biggest challenge began.

The tumor sits deep in his chest, and the surgery required is a high-risk thoracic procedure. Every specialist in our state has told us they cannot safely perform it. Angel is now being referred out of state to MD Anderson in Indianapolis, Indiana, one of the only places willing and able to take on his case.

Because it is out of state, this makes the surgery out of network, and the costs suddenly became out of pocket. Travel, consultations, the surgical team, hospital stay, recovery — it has all grown beyond anything we can manage alone.

I am a mother who will do anything for her child. I have watched Angel fight with courage no teenager should ever have to show. He has done everything asked of him. He made it through chemotherapy. He stayed strong when he was scared. He never stopped believing he could beat this.

Now we need help to get him to the finish line.
