Support Angel's Journey to Jeannie's Farewell

Hi, everyone! My name is Angel Zayas and I am raising money so I may attend the funeral of my late mentor and friend, Jeannie Clinton, who passed away after a brave 2 year battle with cancer. To say Jeannie meant the world to me is an understatement. I met her in 7th grade when I was coming into Allendale Columbia School and she took me under her wing. Next thing I knew, I was in Chorus, Voice Lesson, Musicals, Plays, and so much more. I was horrible at first but I blossomed under her mentorship and I am still pursuing entertainment until this day. During that time, I had unreliable transportation from after school rehearsals and she drove me home. I didn't have a laptop for college and she and her husband Michael bought me one as a graduation gift. She took me to see my first Broadway level production. She helped me get into USC. She treated me like her second son when she didn't have to. That's the kind of individual Jeannie Clinton was.

I want to be able to attend her funeral on May 4th so I am asking my community to come together to help me get there. With graduate school approaching and with a significant layoff I'm still recovering from, I don't have the financial means to make it happen on my own. If you would like to help, please do so.
