Support Angel's Journey to Independence and Healing
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Angel, and I’m raising funds to help train my dog Bryant to become my service dog, and to support my journey toward greater independence, mobility, and access to education.
I live with hyperadrenergic Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS), hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (hEDS), Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS), and autism. In 2022, my symptoms escalated dramatically — going from about 20% severity to 100% — leaving me fully bedbound for two years.
Although my conditions are incurable, I am deeply committed to working toward remission as much as possible and rebuilding a life of independence. Currently, I fully rely on the support and care of others for my daily needs.
Having a properly trained service dog would be truly life-changing — providing not only emotional support and sensory regulation but also alerting me to severe cardiac episodes before they escalate.
Along with training Bryant, I am also raising funds to acquire a folding electric wheelchair that will allow me to safely navigate my environment, conserve critical energy, and regain a level of freedom I have not had in years. This will also make it possible for me to complete my first in-person semester at Harvard, which is a necessary part of my degree program.
I am determined to reclaim as much of my life as I can — not only for myself, but to show that even when circumstances change dramatically, hope, healing, and new beginnings are possible.
Your support — whether through donations, shares, or words of encouragement — brings Bryant and me closer to building a safer, more independent, and more empowered future together. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
