I have good news and bad news. The good news is Angel has been home from the hospital for a few weeks and continues to receive dialysis. It has been a constant struggle for him and his family as they try to navigate through this new way of life. The bad news is Angel has been told they will need to make costly updates in his home in order to facilitate his recovery. Please continue to share what you can as well as pray for him and his family during this trying time.
As always thank you .

I just wanted to give a big thank you to all who have opened their hearts and wallets for the Vazquez family. Unfortunately they still need our help as Angel continues with dialysis and has no estimated date when he can safely return to work. I know with prices continuing to rise we all are feeling the strain but with Gods mercy we are able to persevere. Please continue to give what you can and share this post with everyone you know. And please continue to pray for Angel and his family .

01/09/26 Hospital re-admission Update Below:

Three years ago, I met Angel and his family through my grandson’s Palatine feeder basketball league. Angel is the kind of person who’s always ready to help others, never needing to be asked. Now, he and his family are facing a crisis that no

one could have prepared for. Angel has been hospitalized three times in the past month, initially misdiagnosed with pneumonia. During his current stay, doctors discovered his kidneys are shutting down and only functioning at 10-15%. His body is filling with fluid, and there’s no discharge date in sight.

Angel’s wife, son, mother-in-law, and two daughters in college all rely on his income. Unfortunately, Angel hasn’t been at his job long enough to qualify for insurance, so the medical bills are piling up with no end in sight. The family is two months behind on rent and car payments, facing eviction and repossession. Angel’s mother-in-law recently lost her job, and his wife has had to pawn her wedding rings to help with bills. The stress and uncertainty are unimaginable, and I can only imagine the strain this is putting on Angel’s wife as she tries to hold everything together.

Any funds received will go directly toward catching up on rent, paying utilities, covering car payments, and helping with the never-ending medical bills. Angel’s family will be eternally grateful for any assistance, as will I. They are all going through what most of us have never experienced and I hope never will. In the spirit of this season of giving and love, I pray you will reach into your hearts and help restore this family’s faith with your generous donations.
01/09/26 Update:
After being home only for only 48 hours he was taken Back to NWCH and is in the ICU. Now more than ever he needs our prayers and financial help. The new year is always a time for reflection and self improvement. Let’s start 2026 with generosity, love and prayers for the Vazquez family. Please give what you can. I know they have sincerely been moved by the outpouring of all your support.
