Who am I?
My name is Thayse Franca Burns, and I am part of the leadership team at Angels Care & Learning Center, a bilingual early childhood education center in Austin, Texas.
Who are we raising funds for?
This fundraiser is for several Angels Care teachers whose immediate family members were directly affected by the recent earthquakes in Venezuela. Our teachers live and work in Austin, but many still have parents, siblings, grandparents, and other close relatives living in the affected areas.
Why are we raising funds?
The earthquakes caused significant damage in the communities where our teachers' families live. Several families have lost or suffered severe damage to their homes, and some are facing urgent financial needs while recovering from the disaster. Our teachers are doing everything they can to help from the United States, but the cost of sending emergency financial support is overwhelming.
How will the money be used?
Our goal is to raise $5,000.
100% of the funds raised will be distributed directly to the affected Angels Care employees. Each employee will send the funds to their immediate family members in Venezuela to help cover urgent disaster-related expenses, including:
- Purchasing food and drinking water
- Emergency medical care and medications
- Temporary housing or repairs to damaged homes
- Clothing and other essential supplies
- Transportation and other immediate recovery needs
Funds will not be used for Angels Care's operations or business expenses. Every donation will go directly to helping the affected employees support their families during this emergency.
If we raise more than our goal, the additional funds will also be distributed among the affected employees.
On behalf of our entire Angels Care family, thank you for your kindness, generosity, and prayers. Every donation, no matter the amount, will make a meaningful difference.
