- Angel’s helping Angel
- Hello, I’m Yanelly
- I’m Angel best friend he is also like my brother .
- This is a testimony we can still share, and with your help, we hope it’ll continue for much longer. He is a great friend, his name is Ángel, and this is his story:
- Some time ago, he began experiencing strange symptoms, and nobody knew what was wrong. After a couple of years, he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, an illness without a cure. With this diagnosis, he started understanding the daily discomforts that no longer allow him to have a normal life. He began chemotherapy treatments, hoping to feel somewhat better, but unfortunately, this hasn’t been the case yet. Those who’ve experienced this, either personally or through a loved one, will understand how terrible this process and this long journey can be.
- We are a small group helping and assisting him, taking him to and from the hospital, bringing him food, caring for him during his worst moments when he can’t even hold a cup, supporting him morally and financially as much as possible. We don’t have much money to cover all his expenses, and he has no income of his own. He also can’t access government assistance or certain treatments, causing him significant hardship and suffering. He’s unfortunately living economically on the edge every single day. He’s unable to care for himself; he’s too weak and extremely fragile after chemotherapy. Seeing him like this breaks my heart because I’ve known him for 20 years, and I remember him as a strong, handsome, independent, capable man who skillfully managed many people, a leader full of energy, always willing to help others. Seeing him now so fragile, convalescent, and dependent is extremely painful.
- With patience, kindness, and joy, he taught us the skills of event organizing—a field in which he is an expert. Many of us now have better lives thanks to the profession he generously taught us. Given everything he has done, we know he deserves better conditions, especially now that life has given him this challenge. Those of us around him can’t fully cover his expenses, so we’re reaching out through this medium to you who are reading this, as we’re truly desperate. His expenses are continuously accumulating, and sometimes he doesn’t even have enough money to eat properly. If we don’t notice, he remains quiet and doesn’t eat well due to lack of resources. The chemotherapy combined with poor nutrition has weakened him severely; he’s lost so much weight he’s hardly recognizable, which is heartbreaking.
- Despite all this, even in this condition, he still thinks of others and wishes to undergo studies to find treatments for this cancer.
- We sincerely hope this touches your heart, and you’re able to support him in whatever way your heart and finances allow. Thank you very much.Angels helping angels
