My name is Ryan Joseph Ledesma, the youngest child of my mother, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for help.

My mom, Angelita Arca, is currently in the hospital in the Philippines facing a serious medical emergency. We were going to take a flight to the USA to get her procedure done, but we rushed her to the ER at St. Luke’s 6 hours prior to our flight. She has been diagnosed with heart complications, and her condition is critical and she needs to get quadruple bypass surgery done. She’s receiving the best care available at St. Luke’s in the Philippines, but the cost of her hospitalization and treatment has already reached $60,000, and the bills continue to rise.

I’m based in the U.S., doing everything I can to support her financially, but this amount is more than I can handle alone. The hospital requires much of the payment up front, and time is not on our side.

This is why I’m turning to my community, friends, and even compassionate strangers for support.
