Dear Family and Friends,

I am reaching out to you with some exciting news! I have been given the opportunity this coming year to be part of Youth With A Mission. This is a mission training school that has many different bases located in the country and outside, the one I’ll be committing to is the one located in Nashville, Tennessee! The first Phase is called the lecture phase which lasts for 3 months of the program I’ll be in Tennessee doing DTS which stands for discipleship training school. This looks like having in class lecture on biblical studies, evangelism training, doing local ministry work, outreach fundraising, living in a missional community, and more! Overall, it’s gonna be 3 months of intentional time spent on working in ourselves to be the hands and feet of the Lords great commission. The second phase is called the outreach phase which will also be 3 months. This is when we put into practice what we learned in the lecture phase and travel to another culture to share the gospel by leading public worship, helping out local churches, serving in any way that we can through various kinds of ministries, reaching the unreached, and bringing Gods kingdom here on Earth.

I believe this year will be a great opportunity for personal growth. I’ve always had a passion for missions work growing up, but the Lord has kept me from going on an actual missions trip because he’s been tying to teach me that missions isn’t just me leaving the country and teaching others about Christ, but the mission field is right where my feet are at. After having this summer of being able to minister to young kids as an overnight camp counselor, I had so much joy in doing everything with them, being able to encourage them in their walks of faith through trials that I had gone through at their age, the Lord just made it even more evident in my life that this is what he has for me, to spread his good news to those who may not know him. Through YWAM I will be able to learn and flourish so much in the every aspect, learning practical ways to share the gospel and being poured into by the leadership there through small groups and check ins so we can face those sins that I may be struggling with head on. Most of all, I will be given the opportunity to see God work in miraculous ways, and have the chance to be used as a vessel of His light

While in Nashville they will be providing housing and meals for the students enrolled as well as the ministry expenses, speakers, and training. The total cost for phase one is $4,000. Then the second phase which is when we get placed in another culture for 3 months for outreach will be about roughly $4,000-$5,000. This includes travel, housing, food, etc. I dont know the exact amount ill need for this phase just yet because I am not sure of where I’ll be placed until i actually get to training! So roughly the total I need to raise is $9,000-10,000 for these 6 months ahead. My goal is to be fully supported by November when the total cost is due. Many of you have already invested in my life through prayer and giving to me this past year when I went to the Christian Gap Year Program in West Virginia, and for that I am extremely grateful. Truly, I would not have been able to do this year without your support!

What I would ask of you is to pray and seek the Lord. See if He would lay it on your heart to give to this mission. I would also ask you to consider devoting time to pray for this team, for our safety as we travel, for sensitivity to the Holy Spirit and His leading, and ultimately that the Lord’s will would be done in and through us.

Over 3.3 billion people—about 42% of the world’s population—belong to unreached people groups. Can you imagine never hearing the good news of the gospel, the hope that this world isn’t it, but there’s a promise to those who trust in our Lord Jesus Christ that we get to spend a perfect sinless eternal life with Him in heaven! Many will live and die without ever meeting a Christian or hearing this gospel even once. Our mission is to take intentional steps to see that number decrease. It only takes a few willing hearts, obedient to the Lord’s call, for Him to work powerfully among us and accomplish His will. We may not reach every single person, but we can be faithful to reach those God places before us.
