Angelica is my best friend, and her son Elijah is one of the most fun, goofy, and loving kids you could ever meet. Recently, Elijah was diagnosed with Perthes disease, a condition that affects the hip. Unfortunately, his case was not caught early, and now he needs hip dislocation surgery. Because of this, Elijah had to quit playing football, the sport he loves most, and will eventually need a hip replacement, though he isn’t a candidate for that just yet.

Angelica has always been the first to help anyone in need, and now she and Elijah need our support. The upcoming surgery means Angelica will need to take time off work to care for Elijah during his recovery. The funds raised will help cover travel costs to and from Cook Children’s hospital, as well as bills and other expenses while Angelica is away from work.
