My name is Angela, and I’m reaching out for help as I prepare for hip surgery that will require me to be off work for about four weeks. I’ve worked hard to rebuild my life after moving to Hot Springs from Texas, overcoming addiction and staying clean for years. I’m proud of how far I’ve come, and I’m currently working part-time while studying for my GED to create a better future for myself.

This surgery is necessary for my health, but it means I won’t be able to work and earn an income for a month. I’m feeling stressed about how I’ll pay my bills and keep up with living expenses during my recovery. I’ve come a long way, but I know I can’t do this alone.
