Hi, my name is Barbara and I am writing this for my daughter Angela. A week ago, she became disoriented and had a massive headache. She was taken by ambulance to the emergency room and was misdiagnosed there and sent home. A few days later, she went back and found out she had an aneurysm and was transferred to a specialty hospital. This misdiagnosis has caused her issue to be more severe than expected. She has been in the neurology ICU for the past week and is expected to be there for a minimum of two more weeks. She has had quite a few setbacks and at the present moment, she is critical. They are trying to balance her seizures with raising her blood pressure while making sure it doesn’t damage her heart. She is also having difficulty breathing. Because of the complications she may be there longer. We are taking this day by day. I get updates daily of how everything is going. I will update this page as I know more. Her boyfriend is trying to work extra hours to keep up with the bills, but without her extra income, they are falling short. Once she is out, she will need help getting her strength back and probably speech therapy, so it may be a while before she gets back on her feet. I am helping as much as I can, but I am on Social Security and can only do so much. Any help would be greatly appreciated to take that burden from them. She has asked about bills a few times, and I really don’t want her to worry about that; she needs to concentrate on getting better. Thank you in advance for any and all your help.
Sincerely, Barbara
Any photos of her in ICU are hard to look at I would not take any without her permission
