Support Angela's Fight Against Breast & Lymph Node Cancer

Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted supporters, I am reaching out to you today with a heavy heart to share the news about Angela Sarmiento, a loving mother, a devoted friend, and a compassionate soul. This January, Angela was diagnosed with HER2+ breast cancer, plunging her into the toughest battle of her life. After her mastectomy at the end of June, it was discovered that the cancer was more aggressive than imaging and her prior PET scans had detected and had aggressively spread to her lymph nodes. Next week she will begin a long journey of chemotherapy, then radiation and then two more surgeries. As her partner, I am humbly asking for your support in this challenging journey to ensure Angela's health and well-being.

Angela has always been the epitome of selflessness and kindness. She has dedicated her life to helping others, extending a helping hand to anyone in need. Whether it's lending an ear, offering a shoulder to lean on, or providing a helping hand, Angela has been there for countless individuals and organizations. Now, it's our turn to be there for her.

This diagnosis has turned Angela's life upside down. As she fights this disease, Angela's strength and determination shine through. However, the road ahead is tough, both emotionally and financially. The cost of treatment, medication, and ongoing medical expenses has placed an immense burden on her.

Her state disability insurance will only pay $170 per week for 24 weeks. The prognosis and treatment plan that her surgical and oncology team at Mt. Sinai has communicated is that it will take a minimum of three years. Every dollar raised will make a significant impact on Angela's ability to focus on her recovery and well-being.
