My name is Angela, and with a heavy heart I’m asking for help during the most painful and difficult time of my life.

On January 13, I lost my fiancé, Karl — my partner, my best friend, and the person I was building my future with. His passing has left an enormous hole in our lives. Karl was deeply loved, especially by his son, Luke. Together, Luke and I are trying to navigate this heartbreaking loss while holding each other up through grief we never expected to face so soon.

Along with the emotional devastation, we are now facing overwhelming financial hardship. I have been unemployed since April, 2025. I have recently started a new job, but my first checks will not be enough to cover the immediate and mounting expenses we are facing.

Karl listed both Luke and me as TOD (Transfer on Death) beneficiaries on the house and POD (Payable on Death) on his bank account. However, we are unable to access any of the financials in time to keep our home and stay current on essential bills.

Right now, Luke and I are struggling to cover:

• Hospital and medical bills

• Taxes

• Multiple house payments

• Utilities and essential living expenses

• Ongoing household bills while we work to stabilize the situation.

The funds received will be primarily going for hospital and medical bills, and more keep coming in.

We are doing everything we can to move forward — we are working, trying to keep our home, and supporting each to as we both grieve someone we loved so deeply. This has left us in a position where we simply cannot manage all of this alone at this time.
