Hi! I’m Brianna, Angela Button’s daughter. I’m reaching out to ask for help for my wonderful mom and dad as they face another chapter in my mom’s long and courageous health journey.
My mom, Angela, has been battling PMP (Pseudomyxoma Peritonei), a rare and slow-growing cancer that affects the abdomen and pelvis. On October 21st, she’ll be undergoing an incredibly intensive surgery with a specialist in Pittsburgh — her third major operation like this in the last seven years. It’s a procedure that will require weeks of recovery and healing near the hospital, meaning she and my dad will be away from home for about 5–6 weeks.
If you know my mom, you know that she radiates warmth wherever she goes. She has one of those bright, loving personalities that makes everyone feel special — the kind of person who lights up a room with her laughter and vivaciousness. Despite more than a decade of treatments, setbacks, and uncertainty, she continues to approach life with grace, humor, and strength.
She’s especially looking forward to spending many more precious moments with her family — including her new grandson, who she absolutely adores — and to continuing to bring joy to everyone around her.
While her spirit is unwavering, the financial strain of this journey has been significant. Between the cost of another major surgery, extensive travel to Pittsburgh, and the time my dad will need to take off work to be by her side, the expenses quickly add up.
I’m hoping to help ease some of that burden so my parents can stay focused on what truly matters: my mom’s recovery and their time together. Every contribution, no matter how small, will go directly toward their travel, lodging, and medical expenses.
Thank you so much for reading, for donating if you’re able, and for keeping my mom in your thoughts and prayers. Your support means more than words can express.
