Our dear friend Angela and her brother Lee unexpectedly lost their father, Thomas Kores, in July of this year.

Angela and Lee are some of the few surviving close relatives, and are therefore responsible for all of the end of life expenses, and the settling of his estate.

Angela has single handedly taken on much of this financial burden. In addition, she has taken off of work due to the time and labor requirements that are inherent in the sudden loss of a parent. Because of this wage loss, and the unexpected expenses that continue to surface, we feel it important to reach out for financial assistance.

Thomas David Kores, 74, Amberg, passed away on Wednesday July 23, 2025. He was born January 22, 1951 in Green Bay to Joseph and Lucille Kores.

He is survived by his children, Leland and Angela Kores; sisters, Mary Jo (Gary) Weissman, Elizabeth (David) Goldfarb, Susan (Gary) Bergel; brothers, Peter (Nicki) Kores, Paul (Mia Molvray) Kores; and many nieces and nephews.

Thomas was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fly fishing, bird watching, and many days spent hiking in the woods with his beloved children and dogs. He had a love for cars - both in driving and in detailing. He had a particular taste for a ripe heirloom tomato, and grew them from seed in his garden. He was always working on or thinking up another project to do, and enjoyed his time in his workshop. The real joy of his life, however, were his children, Lee and Angela - who will remember him for his great taste in music, goofy sense of humor and his whimsical gift giving. His generous baking hobby will be missed by many neighbors and friends who he surprised with his creations.
