Our friends the Hallorans have helped so many, and now they could use some support.
In September 2025, after many months of undiagnosed back pain, Angela lost use of her lower torso and legs. After emergency surgery, she’s spent weeks in the hospital. Soon she will be returning home and will need to adjust to life with a wheelchair. The Hallorans’ home needs to quickly be retrofitted for wheelchair accessibility. While a team of friends are managing the changes, insurance does not cover the cost of these necessary updates.
The adjustments needed to bring Ang home include:
-accessible bathroom
-accessible kitchen
-widened doorways
-ramps
-Raz chair (shower accessibility)
-Stairlift
-Medical supplies
Estimated cost for the above is $50,000.
If you know Matt and Angela, you know they have devoted their lives to serving others. Angela spent many years teaching high school in Nebraska and Michigan, and Matt is a veteran who has been a therapist, coach, and motivational speaker. Together, they served as Family Teachers at Boys Town for five years, providing essential residential care and support for boys and their families at critical times in their lives. Matt and Angela have given so much to community, and we hope to surround them with community now.
Please consider supporting Angela’s safe arrival and recovery at home and sharing this with anyone you think might want to help.
Thank you!
