This weekend, our Cross Country family suffered a heartbreaking tragedy. Two of our runners — one a beloved Sanger graduate and State competitor, and one a current student and incoming senior who also represented Sanger at State — lost their lives. Their absence leaves a hole in our team and in our hearts.
Our third athlete, Angel “A.Z.” Zepeda, survived the accident. Angel is a fighter — a State‑level runner, a loyal teammate, and a kid who brings heart to everything he does. He spent time in the ICU and was released from the hospital today, but he faces a long recovery and significant medical expenses. I am setting up this GoFundMe to support Angel and his family through this difficult journey.
If you’re able, please consider donating. If you can’t donate, sharing the link and keeping Angel and the families in your prayers means more than you know. Sanger takes care of its own. Let’s show A.Z. that he’s not running this race alone.
