Support Angel Vazquez's Educational Journey Abroad
Donation protected
Han mitakuyepi,
I'm Gayle Teeman and I'm making this GoFundMe for my little brother, Maka Ġi, Angel Vazquez. Angel is in his 3rd year of college at USD, double majoring in Anthropology and Sustainability.
My little brother has an opportunity to attend The Hague Summer School in the Netherlands. He applied and just got word a few days ago that he was accepted! This comes after my brother missed an opportunity to study abroad in Spain due to financial issues. We would greatly appreciate it if you can take the time to share, donate, whatever you can do to ensure my little brother gets to take this opportunity.
I'd like to take some time to acknowledge my brother and his efforts.
Ehanna, we didn't brag about ourselves; others did that for us. And since Angel's education journey really began, he has remained humble. I admire him for that. This young indigenous man has accomplished so much and taken his education seriously. I'll list a few of his accomplishments:
- 2024 Native American Undergraduate Museum Fellow
- Elouise Cobell Scholar
- Multiple recognitions on the Dean's List
- Ullyot Lakota Scholar
- University Honors Student
- University Student Ambassador Scholar
- College of Arts and Science Ambassador
If you've ever met Angel, you'd see how intellectual, kind-hearted, funny, and caring he is. Please consider helping him take this opportunity not only to better his life but the lives around him, such as his community and native communities everywhere (whatever he decides to do). I'm praying we can all come together and take care of someone who has taken care of us by representing us and putting his all into majors that benefit native communities.
The costs will include about $3,000 tuition, a round trip to be from New York, and some spending money.
