Help Angel Marcais Fight Stage 3B Liver Cancer

Hi, my name is Stefania, and I’m creating this fundraiser for my dearest childhood best friend, Angela (Angel) Marcais, age 51, from Broadalbin, NY.

In September 2024, Angel was rushed to the hospital with severe pain on the right side of her stomach. A CT scan revealed the heartbreaking diagnosis: Stage 3B Liver Cancer. Since then, our strong and beautiful Angel has been fighting with everything she has.

Doctors told us that her liver is currently functioning at only 50% capacity, and as of May 2025, the cancer has spread to her gallbladder. Despite these devastating developments, her medical team remains hopeful and she is doing her best to stay strong and positive.

Angel has been undergoing chemotherapy 3 times a month, each session lasting 5 hours. After a couple of months into a 8 month chemo treatment, her veins could no longer handle the strain, so a port was placed for continued therapy. Surgery is not an option, making this an inoperable and aggressive form of cancer.

She is now receiving immunotherapy once a month, and recently recovered from a serious bout of pneumonia at the beginning of June. She is unable to work and is living permanently with her 75-year-old mother, who has been her full-time caregiver ,she has her daughter Charlotte ,six beautiful grandchildren and close friends as her support system

Angel never wanted to burden her mom or daughter with financial stress, but the reality is that the costs are becoming overwhelming.

We’re asking for support to help cover the following essential expenses:

• Medical bills and medications

• Rent and household utilities

• Groceries and basic living needs

• Transportation and parking for treatments

• Pet care and supplies (her pets are a great comfort to her)

• Future funeral/cremation expenses, should the need arise, so her family doesn’t carry that burden

Angel has always been someone who puts others first. She has shown love, care, and compassion to everyone in her life. She’s the kind of friend who prays for others even when she’s suffering. Now she needs our prayers — and our help.

There have been many tears, fears, and long days of uncertainty. But we still have hope. Hope in her strength. Hope in the power of God, family, and community.
