On Saturday, January 3, 2026, a devastating house fire in Brighton, Tennessee took the life of Lela DeBord and left her daughter, Angel Hurley, devestated.

Angel had been living with her mother to care for her. The home was completely destroyed. In addition to losing her mother, Angel lost most of her personal belongings, as well as both her car and truck, which were also destroyed in the fire.

Angel is a long-term, dedicated employee of Memphis Radiological PC through Memphis Vascular Center, where she has cared for countless patients with compassion and professionalism. She is now facing the overwhelming task of grieving her mother while trying to rebuild her life from the ground up.

At this time, Angel is temporarily staying with her daughter, Jessica Miller, while arranging her mother’s funeral and working through next steps with the help of both daughters, Jessica and Heather. Funds raised will help cover funeral expenses, basic living necessities, transportation, housing needs, and the many unexpected costs that come with starting over after such a loss.
