I'm Roe and I'm raising money for my two friends Angel and Temi who are in debt due to a medical emergency. With no end in sight, Temi approached me to crowdfund on both of their behalf. Below is a message my friend wrote for this fundraiser:

Hi, I'm Temi and I've turned to crowdfunding before when I was kicked out by my family, and it was of immense help while looking for a new job and place to live.

We have public health care, but unfortunately Angel has not been treated seriously and the doctors we saw dismissed us multiple times. After several ER visits, we went to a private clinic as a last resort when Angel had an episode that happened in the middle of the night. We were quickly attended to and Angel was given a serum due to not eating which finally got them some sleep. The clinic stressed that Angel should be monitored for at least 24 hours to check their heart condition, which we agreed to initially; however, the price of this stay (~$3000) was prohibitively expensive and going further into debt to cover this cost is not possible given the lines of credit I currently have access to.

Since Angel's stay, their health briefly improved but all the episodes and ER visits have taken us by surprise and after a day of feeling better, they have fainted, they're unable to eat, and they’re bedridden most of the time. Angel, someone that carries a lot without wanting to burden others, has been asking for help a lot which is how I know that this is serious.

Currently, I have been Angel's primary caregiver with little to no financial support or support at all from either of our families and have taken all of my work PTO to do so. These past couple of days I've been using VTO which means I’ve taken at least 10+ hours from my paycheck.

This is also happening in the middle of a stressful move that, on top of the associated financial strain, has involved multiple stressful events like discovering that the apartment had been infested with fleas and having the ceiling cave in, so needless to say we haven't had a break.

The money we raise will help us cover the cost of quality medical care as well as make ends meet while Angel recovers. Thank you so, so much.
