Support Ang & Dan in their fight for life ❤️

Hi, my name is Sheri and I’m starting this fundraiser for my sister and her husband in their fight for life. I say that because my sister Angela was diagnosed with metastatic sarcoma cancer about two years ago and has been battling with it fiercely since. She and Dan have been continuing to go to work, between her chemotherapy and radiation appointments and trying to balance everything while she is growing more exhausted every day. She is strong, don’t get me wrong, and she will keep going and you will look at her and think nothing is wrong. But she is tired.

Last Wednesday my brother in law was admitted to ECMC very sick. We found out that he is in liver and kidney failure. He has a hernia that needs to be operated on but can’t be because he just isn’t stable enough. He is being transferred to Strong Memorial and if they can get his kidneys functioning well enough he will be put on the liver transplant list. This is a very scary, life threatening situation. He’s on oxygen and his stomach is full of fluid so he’s having a difficult time even breathing. My sister goes to the hospital every day to be with him and help him with his daily needs.

She will now be trying to stay with him in Rochester, whether at the hospital (if allowed), or at a Hope house if there is one or a hotel. She cannot travel back and forth due to her own health issues. This will be more unexpected expenses.

Angela’s cancer treatments are also out of Strong Memorial hospital. She has several follow up scan appointments coming up in January, so at least she will be able to be closer to Dan by staying up in Rochester.

Neither one of them wanted to ask for help. At this time, neither of them is able to work and if anyone ever needed or deserved help - it’s them.
