Support Aneta's Fight Against Brain Cancer
Donation protected
Hello, I'm Monika Legutko. I am starting a GoFundMe campain on behalf of Aneta Mazur, not only a childhood friend of mine, but for many years my next door neighbor. I recently spoke with Aneta's husband, Paweł, and it was decided that we will try to help anyway we can. Aneta was diagnosed with an aggressive form of brain cancer, and unfortunately medical help will cost more than anyone can afford. So with already one donation site opened in Poland, we will also start this GoFundMe page to help as much as we can from this end, with every penny donated directly transferred to their Polish donation site. Here is Aneta's story as translated from the original Polish post written by her husband Paweł (apologies for any grammar mistakes, all text went through google translate as there was to much to do in a short amount of time):
Let's help Aneta, a beloved wife, mother, daughter, and a friend to fight cancer!
There are people who, in a short time, can penetrate deep into our lives - their personality, kindness, talent and presence that stays in the heart for a long time. Aneta is just like that and every person she meets along the way likes her for her openness and sincerity.
Unfortunately, life can be brutal. The first signs of speech problems showed that something was wrong. Aneta was diagnosed that changes everything: malignant cancer - GLEJAK brain tumor
The result of the histopathological examination was merciless: glioblastoma (glioblastoma). It is a malignant aggressive and unpredictable brain tumor. Even with full treatment - surgery, radiation therapy and chemotherapy - medicine offers no chance of a full cure.
He now has speech, writing, reading, a lack of sensation in the right side of his body, trouble walking, hearing loss on the right side.
But Aneta doesn't give up. Statistics are not a sentence - she is a mother, a wife, a man who has someone to live for and something to fight for!!!
She lost her health, her job and her income and her passion. He needs our help to live and fight for every day, month, year. Giving a chance for good treatment keeps her mentally healthy because she needs to have the strength to heal.
My wife Aneta is 45 years old. We have two wonderful children - a 13-year-old daughter and a 15-year-old son. Aneta is a woman with a huge heart who has been close to people all her life. Always helpful, empathetic, loving - not only for her family, but also for others and for animals that often found shelter and warmth with her.
She ran her own prosthetic studio, helping people regain their smile, dignity and confidence. Unfortunately, the progressive disease took away her strength and ability to work. The studio was closed and we lost one of our main sources of income.
Treatment in Poland continues - currently undergoing 6 weeks of chemotherapy and radiotherapy.
Unfortunately, many new treatments such as IOZK immunotherapy in European clinics are very expensive and not reimbursed in Poland.
Today, spending on:
specialist visits to oncologists, neurologists and physiotherapists, non-reimbursable diagnostic tests, expensive drugs to support therapy, frequent commute to clinics and offices in different parts of the country, care measures and support in home care.
Despite our difficult situation, we do not give up. Every day we are looking for additional opportunities for help - also in foreign clinics that offer modern methods of glioblastoma treatment. But they also come at a huge cost that far exceeds our family's capabilities.
Today we face a huge challenge - we are fighting for Aneta's health. Our children look every day with the hope that their mother will still be healthy, that everything will work out and be as before.
Therefore, I ask on behalf of Aneta, myself and our children: HELP. Every penny is a real help. Each sharing of this collection is a step towards the goal. Every good word gives you the strength to fight. I BELIEVE THAT WE WILL ACHIEVE THE GOAL WITH YOU...
Don't let us run out of support when we need it most. Please!
Thank you for you for helping.
