On my last update, I shared that I was going through a clinical trial that put me into remission, but unfortunately, it didn’t last as long as we all hoped. I was close to heading to transplant, but a bone marrow biopsy in December showed my disease had grown to 11%, so we had to rethink my treatment plan. With the help of my amazing care team at City of Hope, I had options. We revisited CAR-T therapy, even though my previous two collections had been contaminated. After a lot of thought and conversations with my doctor, we decided to try another collection. Thankfully, this one was successful, and we’re moving forward on schedule. I’ll be receiving my CAR-T cells on 3/4.
Right now, I’m unable to work for at least 4 weeks while I go through this treatment. The funds raised here will help me cover my bills, travel expenses to and from doctor’s appointments, gas, and food during this time. Your support will help ease the financial stress so I can focus on healing and getting back on my feet.
I’m so grateful for the encouragement and kindness I’ve received so far. Any help you can give—whether it’s a donation or sharing my story—means the world to me. Thank you for being part of my journey and for helping me through this challenging time.
