Support Andy's Marathons for Scott's scholorship fund

Hi my name is Andy Janack and I am raising money for the Scott R. Stacey Memorial Scholarship. This is a scholarship I established recently , and is given to 2 graduating seniors in the Saratoga Springs City School District that are dedicated to the music program as well as showing passion for sports and/or academics. In addition, I will award additional scholarships to help students in the district attend summer music camps to further help their development.

It has been a year since Scott's passing and I miss him deeply. Scott was an accomplished musician, athlete, and educator. He was one of kind in his passions for music, sports, and countless subjects. He was an amazing mentor and teacher to me while I studied percussion with him in college. The lessons he taught me and the generosity of his time and talents were so tremendously impactful and I will forever be grateful for these experiences. I was also incredibly fortunate to play along side Scott as a professional colleague over the last 20 years and which are memories I hold very dear to me.

I am incredibly honored and humbled to teach at Scott's alma mater, Saratoga Springs High School. I have the opportunity to honor Scott's memory and hopefully have an impact on students like he did for me.

To raise money for this fund, I'm running a series of endurance races in the month of October. I will be running 5 marathons in 25 days. I decided to do 3 official marathons(Maine, Cape Cod, and Bay State Marathons), a 50 mile Ultra Marathon (Allegheny State Park), and then 4 days later to finish, running 26.2 miles starting and ending at Saratoga Springs High School Band Room.
