This GoFundMe is to help raise funds for Andy as his home was damaged by the recent historical flooding in his town of Owensboro, Kentucky. Insurance adjusters have inspected the damage; however, his deductible will need to be met to make the needed repairs, including repairing the roof and walls. Our goal is to raise $4,500 for his deductible so that he can have the repairs made as soon as possible.

Some background about this historic flooding event:

Multiple rounds of heavy rain and thunderstorms impacted the lower Ohio Valley beginning on the afternoon of April 2nd and continued through the evening of April 5th. Lighter showers continued through the day on April 6th. The first wave consisted of a significant severe thunderstorm event and tornado outbreak during the afternoon and evening on April 2nd. Flash flooding became a greater concern during the night as storms trained over the same locations. Additional waves of thunderstorms occurred over the same area. Widespread rainfall amounts of 6 to 12 inches were observed over this 4-day period, with a swath of 12 to 16 inches across western Kentucky. Flash flooding impacted basically every one of the 58 counties in the forecast area at some point during this event. Flash flood emergencies and numerous water rescues occurred across the region, with many homes and businesses inundated by floodwaters. Countless roads were covered by high water and impassable, some of which are still closed weeks later due to ongoing major river flooding. Moderate to major river flooding occurred on most area rivers due to the excessive rainfall. The Ohio River at Owensboro observed its highest crest since 1997!

If you can spare anything to help Andy, it will be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your support.
