Support Andy’s Fight Against Liver Failure

I am humbly seeking your assistance and support of my father, Andrew also known as “Andy”, as he battles liver cirrhosis. This illness has had a severe impact on my father’s overall health and has subsequently led to liver failure.

Since his diagnosis, my father has been hospitalized numerous times due to the complications of his illness. In his most recent hospitalization, we learned that his liver is only functioning at 2% and that he needs a liver transplant immediately.

My father has made major lifestyle changes to meet the criteria for the transplant list but he is still in a waiting period for approval. While he waits for a transplant, he has moved in with me so that I may help with his ongoing medical care. It is necessary that my father continues to see a liver specialist, maintain his medication regimen, and make it to all medical appointments.

Unfortunately, because of my father’s condition, he is unable to work. The expenses for the treatment, medications, transportation, and ongoing care will be abundant. Insurance can only cover so much, and the out-of-pocket costs are already adding up quickly.
