Please help to support Andy on his unexpected journey to fight cancer.

Recently, on a relatively routine colonoscopy exam, a large mass was discovered on my right ascending colon. A biopsy was taken, and it tested positive for cancer. A CT scan with contrast was ordered to assess if there has been any spread to the lymph nodes, liver, or any other organs.

The CT scan came back negative, and the cancer appears to be localized in the colon. I will have what is called a right hemicolectomy. At the very least, my entire right ascending colon (which includes the appendix, cecum, and may include an amount of transverse colon) will need to be removed along with local surrounding lymph nodes. Chemotherapy is a possibility in case of spread. This is a major surgery, but the outcome looks bright.

The reason for this fundraiser is to offset uncovered medical bills, co-pays, travel, and other expenses that will undoubtedly accumulate during this trying time.

I am retired, on Social Security and Medicare with no secondary coverage, and Medicare only covers so much. I know I will incur significant debt moving forward.

My goal here is to FIGHT and WIN this battle. With your help, I believe this can be achieved.
