Support Andy Ross's Fight Against Cancer
Donation protected
We’re reaching out to our community to support someone who brings strength, skill, and heart to everything he does. Our friend Andy Ross — adventurer, craftsman, ski guide, and all-around remarkable human — was diagnosed nearly four years ago with Stage 4 Rectal Cancer. Since then, he’s taken on multiple rounds of chemo, radiation, and targeted therapy with grit and resilience.
Andy has continued working whenever he can — guiding on the slopes and building with care — but recent complications, including a broken rib, have made it impossible to work. As a self-employed person in California, the cost of treatment, insurance, and everyday expenses has become overwhelming.
This fundraiser is a chance for us to come together and help ease that burden, so Andy can focus fully on healing. He’s staying strong and would love to hear from friends while he’s recovering at home.
Originally from New Zealand, Andy has spent over 25 years teaching skiing and crafting beautiful spaces in the Bay Area. He’s the kind of person who shows up, lends a hand, and makes things better — whether it's building something, guiding others, or making bacon for a crew of campers.
Now, it’s our turn to show up for him. Your support — through a donation, a message, or simply reaching out — will make a real difference in the months ahead.
You can contribute here or directly to Andy. Let’s help carry Andy through this stretch with the same heart and strength he’s always shared with others. This fundraiser will be a huge help in easing his worry and stress about finances and allow him to focus on recovery and his awesome Kiwi-antics.
Thank you!
