I have the privilege of leading an Arctic Expedition team of 8, all engineers, on a mission of repair and upgrades at the Mars Society's Mars Arctic Research Station!
Two years ago, you helped me raise funds to restart the Mars Arctic Research Station in the far north of Nunavut, Canada. It was the biggest challenge I've ever faced. We didn't know what we would find at the station after being uncrewed for over 5 years. But your support helped me and my team get to the site, make repairs, and conduct valuable Earth and Mars science research.
This expedition is shorter, so my financial goal is lower. Your contributions will help bring much-needed equipment to the station, including a hot water heater, water filtration and storage, enhanced ventilation, and air quality equipment, oh, and a new coffee maker.
I can't express my thanks for your help in advancing research that will help us live and work on Mars one day soon! Just like last time, there will be mission reports from The Mars Society , and I'll be blogging the expedition at www.andygreco.com.
On to Mars!
