Hi everyone, I’m reaching out because this past year has completely turned my life upside down. What started as a few confusing symptoms has evolved into a "perfect storm" of medical challenges that has left me and my little family fighting on three different fronts. After months of biopsies, testing, and specialist visits, I have been diagnosed with three serious and rare conditions:
1. Lymphoma: A cancer of the lymphatic system that requires urgent and specialized care.
2. C3G (Complement 3 Glomerulopathy): A rare, chronic kidney disease that is causing my body to lose protein and my kidneys to struggle.
3. Breast Vasculitis: An extremely rare inflammation of the blood vessels that has added significant pain and complexity to my treatment plan.
Because these three conditions are so rare and are happening all at once, my local team in Savannah has referred me to the experts at Emory University in Atlanta. Managing lymphoma while protecting my kidney function from C3G requires a level of coordination that only a major research hospital can provide.
The Reality of the Road Ahead: Getting to Emory is my best chance at a long-term recovery, but the "hidden costs" of a medical crisis are mounting. I am currently unable to work, and insurance simply doesn't cover everything. Your donations will go directly toward:
