Andrew Kilgore needs our help TODAY.
For more than fifty years, Andrew Kilgore has been one of Arkansas’s most cherished portrait photographers. His work has captured the faces, histories, and quiet dignity of people from every walk of life—rural families, community leaders, working people, artists, and elders. Through his lens, he has preserved the spirit of Northwest Arkansas and the state he loves.
Now, Andrew needs our help.
Andrew has always lived a simple life devoted to service to others ahead of deriving long term wealth. His projects focusing on disadvantage people of all kinds never created sufficient income for him to have meaningful support in his old age, even combined with the paid work he did over the years. Serious medical issues have made it impossible for Andrew to continue working. Without the income he has always relied on, he is struggling to cover even the most basic expenses: electricity, heating, food, and the home health care that allows him to manage daily life safely.
Andrew’s greatest wish is simple and deeply human:
to remain in his home for the rest of his days.
This fundraiser is dedicated to giving Andrew what he has given to so many others through his art: dignity, stability, and peace of mind. I am his daughter and I will make sure that any funds received will go straight to supporting his needs:
• Essential utilities (electricity, heating, water)
• Groceries and daily necessities
• Continued home health care
• Basic living expenses
Any amount—large or small—will make a meaningful difference. And if you have been touched by Andrew’s work, if you have admired his portraits, or if he has captured an image of someone you love, now is the time to give back.
Please help Andrew remain in the home he loves, surrounded by the memories and community he has spent a lifetime honoring. He still has a deep desire to continue working on projects that will support the community at large. As he put it recently, “Even though I am 85 years old, I still feel that I have more to contribute. If only I had the support that I need in my daily life.”
Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and support.
