Starting in early spring, a large bump appeared on Andrew's back. Initially the doctor's thought it might be a lympoma or a cystic mass. Tests were inconclusive and wanted further testing.

In the meantime, we went to visit family in Egypt and decidied to get a second opinion and have a doctor look at it since it started growing in size and hurting.

The Egyptian doctor disagreed with the initial findings and immediately ordered an MRI which showed a sign of a tumor. Within a week we had a biopsy and PETscan done as well to find out what the actual issue was.

The biopsy results showed that it is a rare form of cancer called sarcomatoid carcinoma which was growing at an agressive rate.

We went to a special surgeon for consultation and he recommended immediate surgical removal followed by localized radiation therapy.

So we are deciding to stay in Egypt long enough to get this taken care of. The approximate time for the full treatment is 6 months.

We are asking for some financial support during this process (the surgery, treatment and recovery). We are approximating around $5000 for surgery, medical care, radiation therapy, and recovery. Anything you can offer will help tremendously and is deeply appreciated.
