I’m starting this GoFundMe for our friend Andrew. He is about to go through another major surgery that is going to bring on financial hardship as he will be able to get time off but it will not be paid for.

Let me introduce Andrew, by the words of his friends… Andrew is kind, thoughtful, quiet, shy. He is respectful, caring, compassionate and all around great guy. People enjoy his company. Unfortunately, one’s health doesn’t care about any of that. He has once again fallen on some health issues that need immediate attention and waiting is not an option.

Last year Andrew was diagnosed with diverticulitis (medical condition where small pouches (diverticula) in the wall of the colon become inflamed or infected). His was so severe he underwent a very long procedure and

lost his entire large intestine. Which basically causes him to have solid waste run right through , causing multiple bathroom breaks a day. It is also making work difficult for him to mange with his senior colleges not understanding his medical issue and complaining about him being absent multiple times a day. It is not at all pleasant living with something that has permanently affected his daily way of living. Recovery nearly broke him, mentally, physically, emotionally and financially. We watched him struggle for a long time and really want to come through for him this time. Because of that surgery Andrew has developed a bad hernia. He will need to undergo another open surgery procedure, on September 28th, to have the hernia repaired. He will be off work for 7-8 weeks. Work has not been very pleasant to him and claim he has no FMLA or short term disability available because there has not been enough time between the two surgeries. Andrew is the sole income provider in his household and with the increased cost of living it will be impossible for him to keep his duplex without your help. He also is the sole provider for his beloved dog Sheila. So keeping his duplex is a must as we don’t want the unthinkable to happen and Andrew have to move and not be able to take her with him. He will need her for his recovery. My goal is to raise enough money to cover, at the minimum, 2 months rent. Making it easier for close family and friends to help him with other necessities.
