On Sunday, 10/26/25, Andrew received severe burns (2nd & 3rd degree full/ partial thickness) to various parts of his body (Dominant hand severe, scalp, face, eyes (corneas), ears inner/outer, nasal passageway, neck, chest and inhalation burns (upper-lower airway) and has affected his vocal cords. Also, his nose got fractured. This was due to an unexpected explosive fire. Andrew was intubated at an Indiana ER and transferred to an ICU Burn Unit in Illinois.

Andrew has undergone surgery and received Autograft from his leg, RECELL Autologous Cell Harvesting and Human Amniotic Membrane to burn areas.

Sadly, Andrew recv’d a traumatic urethral tear during several attempted catheter insertions and ballon inflation. This problem caused severe bleeding that required 2 units of blood. Unfortunately, surgery will be needed.

Andrew will continue to experience ongoing nerve pain, airway/ nasal pain & irritation, physical limitations, altered painful sensation to burned areas, graft sites and donor leg. Moreover, he is experiencing visual/auditory and other sensory impairments. Throat and vocal cords remain affected as well as his lungs. His hand and neck will require additional surgeries and/or treatments & he suffers from PTSD.

Your donations will helpful as Andrew is unable to work. Worst yet, his insurance will not cover his continued care with his Illinois providers. It has been difficult to find new providers & specialist to take over his care near home. This is why his continued care remains in Illinois at this time.

Occupational Therapy (OT) has been not been approved & is hindering his recovery. I was told OT cost would be $4,000 cash to get started.
