Update from Andrew:

As I physically recover, my biggest struggle is my mental. It’s hard to have doctors and loved ones tell you, you’re lucky to be alive. I am blessed to be able to walk, talk and speak but I struggle everyday as 30 minutes from my life have been completely erased from my mind. I have this space of emptiness that scares me whenever I think about it but feel forced to try to remember. I know I will be okay but it’s been hard. I went from 14 hour work days to going on my first 5+ minute walk in 14 days. I thank each and of you that has helped me in some way in my journey. I have felt the love and understood the support I have. I unfortunately do not have a time frame of my recovery but have started seeing different specialist and making appointments for others. I do not take for granted how lucky I am to be in the health I am. Truly blessed to have a Wife who has been there every step of the way and continues to provide strength. My family especially my Mother who continues to ensure my health and recovery is priority. The support I have received has been more than I can ever thank for!

Hello everyone, we hope you are well. We recently experienced a traumatic event and are seeking support from our community. On the morning of 12/31, Andrew experienced a devastating accident that left his vehicle totaled and sent him to the hospital. He suffered from a severe concussion, carotid artery dissection, vertigo, abrasions, contusions, and extreme pain which has impacted his functioning and memory. We are extremely grateful that he is on the road to recovery but this has created devastating loss as Andrew will be unable to return to work and it is unknown at this time how long he will be out of work due to his injuries. If you know Andrew, then you know how passionate he is about his work. We are seeking support to decrease stress as finances should be the last thing on his mind at this time.

This support will be going toward covering his lost wages, replacement vehicle, medical bills, and specialized tools and care to assist him in the recovery process. Once he is discharged from the hospital, he will be required to see several specialists including neurology, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and vascular specialists. With these specialists, he will be working to regain his mobility and ensure he is healing properly. We are unsure how long the recovery process will last, potentially up to 2-3 months.

Any amount of support would be greatly appreciated and if you are unable to support in this manner, please keep Andrew and our family in your thoughts and prayers.
