Support Andrew's Path After Car Accident

My name is Fred Dohmann, and I was involved in an auto accident on April 29, 2025. I was stopping for a red light on Memorial Drive in Tulsa, OK, when I was rear-ended. The driver of the car that hit me is Andrew Martinez. This GoFundMe page is for Andrew.

Andrew is 24 years old and was making a DoorDash delivery at the time of the accident. The streets were wet, and he stated that he hit a slick spot and couldn’t stop in time. Fortunately, there were no injuries, which I am very grateful for. My Jeep sustained damage to the rear but is still drivable. Andrew's car, a 2020 Hyundai Elantra, was damaged in the front and is essentially totaled.

Although Andrew had personal insurance, his claim was denied because he was driving for DoorDash at the time. He was unaware of this situation until later, and upon reviewing the DoorDash agreement, he discovered this important information buried in the fine print.

As a young man trying to make ends meet, Andrew now finds himself without transportation, which severely limits his ability to earn a wage. Additionally, he will not receive any insurance assistance for his vehicle despite having active coverage. Andrew also mentioned that his family has limited financial means.

Through my research, I have learned that many DoorDash, Uber, Lyft, and other drivers are unaware that their personal insurance does not cover them while they are providing services. This issue needs to be made clear to all who rely on this method of making a living.

Andrew seems to be a good young man who is now facing a very challenging situation. I have created this GoFundMe to help him as he navigates through this difficult time. Any contribution would be greatly appreciated.
