Andrew Grutzmacher is my nephew, and he’s been facing a tough battle with mental health and addiction. Recently, Andrew realized on his own that he needed to make a change, and he reached out to those close to him for help getting into treatment. Thanks to his determination and the support of loved ones, Andrew is now over 30 days sober and is committed to continuing his journey toward recovery.
Andrew’s next step is to move from a residential setting to a sober living house, but he doesn’t have the funds to make this transition. The treatment program at the sober living house is a long process: the first 30 days are a partial hospitalization program, followed by 2-3 months of intensive outpatient treatment, and then a final month or two of outpatient care. These stages are crucial for Andrew’s continued sobriety and for building a stable, hopeful future.
Andrew has been putting in the hard work and is now filled with hope for what’s ahead. He dreams of one day being able to help others who are struggling, just as he has. Any support you can offer will help Andrew continue his recovery and take the next steps toward a healthier, brighter future. Thank you for considering a donation to support Andrew’s journey.
Here’s a message from Andrew: "Hello, I’m Andrew. Thank you for taking a minute out of your day to read this. I am an alcoholic and an addict in recovery. I am currently enrolling into a sober living facility after a 30 day stay at a residential facility. The cost for sober living is pretty steep and I’m reaching out to try to get help financially. I’m so excited to move forward with sobriety and I need some help. I appreciate you. Thank you."
