My brother Andrew (Drew) has been through more than anyone should have to face in his 51 years. He was born with a rare bladder condition. He went through many surgeries up until he was 15 years old when he had what he thought was his last major surgery. Last year he started to have alot more UTI's which then went down hill from there. Starting with a bladder stone, infections, biopsy of a mass, abscess(which lead to sepsis and a week in the hospital), multiple other hospital visits and just recently 15 days in the hospital for a major surgery. They removed a mass the size of an orange that was also obstructing his bowels. Now, he’s facing his toughest challenge yet—a cancer diagnosis. The biopsies of the mass and several lymphnodes came back positive. The financial strain has already been overwhelming, and with chemotherapy about to begin, the burden will only grow. Medical bills, treatments, and time away from work are creating mounting pressure on Andrew and his family.

As well, earlier this year, after 23 years of dedicated service, the company Andrew worked for closed its doors. He recently started a new job as a manager, but due to his ongoing health struggles, he has been unable to work consistently, and the future of his employment is uncertain. He is currently out of work and there's no certainty of when or if he will be able to return.
