Support Andrew Wojtak's Healing Journey
Donation protected
Hi I’m Gianna the oldest daughter of Andrew and Angela Wojtak, I am writing this on behalf of my siblings and I in support of our Dad (Andrew Wojtak). We are starting this GoFundMe for our Dad for a couple reasons one to help lift any financial burdens that have come with his recent diagnosis and to also keep all of our family and friends updated with his progress. He prefers to focus on his healing and recovery right now and doesn't like to constantly be having to text or talk about his diagnosis, treatments, or progress. But we know there are so many family and friends who love him and would like to be there for him and stay updated on how he is doing.
September 2024 our Dad was sick the entire month which is very unlike him. Thinking it was nothing serious he powered through work and daily life per usual and figured it would blow over. However on Monday September 30th he felt a hard lump in his abdomen and told my Mom right away and they made an appointment with his doctor. He immediately began detoxing and researching what could possibly be going on. After a week of appointments, blood work, X-rays, and scans, trying to get to the bottom of all this. They discovered he had 3 very large lymphs in his abdomen, one in his neck, an enlarged spleen, liver abnormalities, and an abdominal hernia. They were told on Monday October 7th 2024 that he had Non Hodgkins Lymphoma. My parents were completely in shock and devastated with this news and how this could have happened. Although his healing had already begun with small but noticeable positive results, with the official diagnose his treatment plan was pushed into accelerated mode. He educated himself on how this could have happened and made all necessary changes to his lifestyle. He began a very rigorous, detailed and extensive treatment program with several amazing doctors and treatment options. Our Dad made the decision to go with a blended treatment plan of alternative medicine with selective modern medicine. His results over the last 3 months have been nothing but positive and everything is going in the right direction, Thank God! Our Mom has been by his side every second, she has supported, helped, and cared for him in every way possible. This has not been easy for either of them and I know they both are strong as hell and having her by his side will continue to help him keep going.
About our Dad, God sent him to us in a very unique way and although he had zero experience with children he didn't hesitate for second to take on the most important and selfless job in the world, being our Dad! And let me tell you when it comes to his lack of experience evidently he was a natural because Andrew Wojtak is the BEST DAD AROUND! I could literally go on for hours on the insane sacrifices he made for us and our family. and the instant unconditional love he has always given us, but if you know him, and our family, you know it was all meant to be! He has always been a selfless, giving person-someone who will do anything to help others in need, no matter the situation. His kindness, strength and dedication to his family is an inspiration and we are so thankful to have him, he has done so much for us we want to help him anyway we possibly can.
Our Dads road to a full recovery is not done quite yet and he does have a long stretch ahead of him. Unfortunately the direction he decided to go for his treatments and recovery plan is not covered by insurance, all medical expenses have been fully out of pocket with the exception of the original labs. He has fortunately been healthy enough to be able to work through all of this and that has helped tremendously, so we are thankful for that. But as many of you know medical expenses can start to add up quickly and feel overwhelming, the less stress he has to deal with the better. This is why we are reaching out to our family and friends for help, any donation, no matter how small will go directly to supporting our Dad's treatments, medications, and recovery. Your generosity means the world to us, and we are so grateful for any support you can offer during this difficult time please keep our Dad in your prayers and think all positive thoughts.
With Love and Gratitude,
Gianna, Vanessa, and Santino
