Newton Andrew's journey began in the challenged community of Kemp Road in Nassau, Bahamas. Despite facing significant financial hardships that made even the basics of his early education a severe struggle, Andrew recognized the immense value of knowledge and the importance of hard work, which made him approach his studies with remarkable dedication and perseverance.

With the steadfast support of his close-knitted family and his own determination, Andrew has been able to pursue his dreams and turn many of them into reality. His path has been marked by numerous remarkable achievements, including:-

*Able Seaman 12 years on the Royal Bahamas Defence Force

*Certified Licensed Private Aviation Pilot

*Former Project Director - Commonwealth Youth Council

*Former Junior Member of Parliament

*Former Junior Youth Ambassador for the Bahamas

Here is Newton Andrew's story, in his own words:

I am currently a fourth-year medical student at Caribbean Medical University, standing at a pivotal moment in my educational path. My lifelong dream has been to become a doctor. I have a strong desire to specialize in Neurology and Cardiothoracic Surgery, with a sub-fellowship in transplant surgery. As I approach the finish line of my studies, I am confronted with financial obstacles that could hinder my progress towards this goal.

Throughout medical school, I have actively sought loans to support my education, but I have now reached the limits of my eligibility. I have worked tirelessly to manage my tuition, living expenses, and the associated costs of my clinical rotations in the United States. Unfortunately, I have faced challenges recently, including a denial of further funding due to existing debt, which has slowed my momentum. To overcome this hurdle, I must explore alternate avenues to raise the necessary funds to clear my tuition balance.

Becoming a doctor means the world to me. I am fueled by an unwavering desire to help others and make a difference in the community. I believe deeply in the power of service and am passionate about enhancing lives, all while offering hope to those who need it most. I am committed to transforming the healthcare landscape by advocating for holistic health practices including proper nutrition, exercise, and meditation. This commitment inspired me to create my business, Transcend Wellness, where I empower individuals with the knowledge and resources they need to lead healthier and more fulfilling lives.

Despite this delay, I remain optimistic about what lies ahead. With your support, I can continue my educational journey and work towards making a significant impact in the lives of many. Today, I reach out with a humble request for assistance in completing my medical degree. With only three clinical rotations left, I am on track to finish my training by Fall 2025, bringing my dream of becoming a doctor to fruition!
