Andrew Lenz and I have known each other since childhood, sharing countless adventures and memories through junior high and high school as fellow graduates of the HFN class of 1992 and our respective Catholic high schools in 1996. Although we lost touch over the years, I have always appreciated Andrew’s sense of humor and the bond we shared during those formative years. He went on to graduate from Jesuit College Prep in 1996 and later from SMU, building a career in the landscaping field and touching many lives along the way.

Recently, Andrew faced a life-changing health crisis. He became seriously ill and was hospitalized in December, ultimately requiring a major organ transplant at Medical City of Dallas in early February. After months in the hospital, Andrew was finally discharged on April 20, 2026. His recovery has been nothing short of extraordinary—he has had to relearn how to stand, walk, and regain his independence. Throughout this ordeal, Andrew has shown incredible strength and resilience, but the journey has been incredibly challenging both physically and financially. In addition to his personal medical struggles, Andrew lost his father on April 27, 2026.

The funds raised through this campaign will go directly toward Andrew’s medical and living expenses as he continues his recovery at home. This period has been extraordinarily difficult, and any support—whether through a donation or by sharing this fundraiser—will make a meaningful difference in Andrew’s life.
