Support Andrew Carlin's Road to Recovery
Donation protected
The first half of Tuesday was filled with joy as my family enjoyed Louisiana’s record-breaking snowstorm. I was getting pictures of my siblings having the time of their lives playing in the snow, but later that day, everything took an unexpected turn.
While being pulled on a tube behind a four-wheeler, my brother Andrew Carlin, was in an accident that broke his femur and caused him to be rushed to the hospital by ambulance after losing the pulse in his leg. He was taken into emergency surgery, where doctors placed permanent rods and screws in his leg to stabilize the injury. While we’re overjoyed that he’s alive and so thankful to God that he has no paralysis or greater injuries, his road to full recovery will still be long and challenging.
Andrew had been looking forward to his spring track season at Sam Houston High School as a senior, which he’s now unable to participate in. His recovery will require physical therapy almost every day of the week for the foreseeable future. On top of that, his dad had to miss work unpaid for a week due to both the storm and the injury, which makes this a little more difficult.
While Andrew does have health insurance, we’re asking for help to cover his medical bills, including deductibles, copays, and ongoing therapy expenses. Any donation, or social medial share, would mean the world to my family during this difficult time.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and for supporting Andrew as he navigates this tough journey. We truly appreciate your kindness, prayers, and support.
