In January 2024, Andrew started experiencing pain in his legs and hip, and has been diagnosed with Avascular Necrosis of the hip. Avascular Necrosis is a condition that occurs when blood supply is cut off resulting in deterioration of the bone. This condition worsens over many years and is not curable. Full hip replacement surgery is the most common treatment providing the most reliable outcome. Andrew needs to have this surgery as soon as possible to stop the worsening of this condition that is causing daily pain and trauma.
Andrew’s job requires many hours of travel and being on his feet, which has become impossible for him. Unfortunately, the need for immediate surgery has come up unexpectedly, but has been postponed a couple of times due to scheduling conflicts with the doctor, which also delays Andrew's ability to return to work. Andrew will be out of work for two to three months on FMLA without pay.
We are asking for friends and family to remember Andrew and his family in your thoughts and prayers, as well as for financial help. Any contributions made would go directly towards Andrew’s medical expenses and related bills and will ease the financial strain on Andrew and his family.
Thank you for your prayers for Andrew and his family and thank you for your contributions.
