Andre is my partner, and together we have faced an incredibly challenging year. After working for 15 years as a tankerman at Kirby Corporation, often around hazardous chemicals off the Texas coast, Andre began experiencing serious health issues. His journey has included countless visits to specialty doctors, holistic practitioners, and general physicians, as well as several hospital stays. Unfortunately, he has not been able to work for over a year due to his declining health.

Andre’s health struggles have been compounded by environmental exposures, including mold and fiberglass in a rental home, and later, more mold and unclean water in The Hollows neighborhood outside of Austin, TX. These exposures have taken a toll on his body, leading to the need for urgent surgery. All donated funds will go directly toward covering the surgery facility cost, anesthesia fee, and the urologist’s expense. We are hopeful that no chemotherapy will be required after surgery, as his blood markers currently show only a mildly elevated value.
