Support Andres on His Road to Recovery

Hello my name is Gabriela, I'm starting this Go Fund Me for my brother Andres Flores. Our family is trying to help Andres through a sudden life change and we hope this is the platform to best achieve that.

Our brother Andres Flores, or Dre as some of you know him, has recently been through a life changing medical event. This event has temporarily disabled him and rendered him unable to provide for the basic needs of his family such as food, clothing, and shelter. Andres is a father of three children under the age of four; Mateo, Julio, and Fatima, who is just about to be three months old. He is Husband to Teresa Flores and the sole provider of his humble home. In the last few weeks they went from leading a healthy normal life to suddenly losing all stability for an unforeseen amount of time.

On January 21st, 2024, Andres was hospitalized with a mental health crisis. He was transferred to two different hospitals to stabilize him and figure out how best to treat him. He has gone through a mentally crippling and emotionally challenging time. During his hospitalizations, he was unable to be at home or earn an income. Due to this, his family is currently in desperate need of basic items and child care products, as well as housing security. Unfortunately, this is only the beginning in navigating life with his newly medically diagnosed condition. As of now he has been stabilized but is undergoing treatment, starting medications, and the healing process, which has been difficult for him to manage on his own. As a result of this, he is unable to work and resume the normalcy that was his life before his current condition.

As we seek to help Andres return to living a moderately normal life, we are hoping that this crowdfunding platform helps to provide monetary support so that he and his family could catch-up and bounce back from mounting expenses. We hope it affords him the necessary time he needs to recover and get back to his normal life. Together, along with our community we aim to aid him with housing rent, current and future medical bills, and the needs for small children such as diapers, food, and medical expenses that children tend to have.

If you know Andres, you know that he lives a very modest life and does not ask for much. He is happy going to church on Sundays and providing for his wife and children as a Commercial Painter. Those who personally know our brother Andres know that he has always led a normal and humble life, but now we are uncertain what the future holds for him. We pray that he carries on with a steady recovery now and in the distant future; and that we can help bring joy back into his life. Nuestro hermano Andrés Flores, o Dre, como algunos de ustedes lo conocen, ha pasado recientemente por un evento médico que le cambió la vida. Esta situacion lo ha dejado gravemente incapacitado y lo ha hecho incapaz de satisfacer las necesidades básicas de su familia, como comida, ropa y renta. Andrés es padre de tres hijos menores de cuatro años: Mateo, Julio y Fátima, la bebe apenas está a punto de cumplir tres meses. Es el esposo de Teresa Flores y el único proveedor de su humilde hogar. Pasaron de llevar una vida normal y saludable a perder de repente toda estabilidad y no sabemos cuánto tiempo les va a afectar esta situación.

El 21 de enero de 2024, Andrés fue hospitalizado con una crisis de salud mental. Fue trasladado a dos hospitales diferentes para estabilizarlo y determinar la mejor manera de tratarlo. Ha pasado por un momento mentalmente paralizante y emocional. Durante sus hospitalizaciones no pudo estar en casa ni trabajar para generar ingresos. Debido a esto, su familia desesperadamente necesita artículos básicos y productos de cuidado infantil, y renta para tener donde vivir. Desafortunadamente, esto es sólo el comienzo, hasta el momento se encuentra estabilizado pero está en tratamiento e iniciando medicamentos y el proceso de curación, que le ha resultado difícil de manejar por sí solo. Como resultado de esto, no puede trabajar y retomar la normalidad que tenía antes de su condición.

Mientras buscamos ayudar a Andrés a volver a vivir una vida moderadamente normal, esperamos que esta plataforma de financiación colectiva ayude a brindar apoyo monetario para que él y su familia puedan ponerse al día y recuperarse de los crecientes gastos. Esperamos que le brinde el tiempo necesario para recuperarse y volver a su vida normal. Juntos con nuestra comunidad, pretendemos ayudarle con renta, gastos médicos, actuales y futuras. Y las necesidades de los niños pequeños, como pañales, comida y gastos médicos que los niños suelen tener.

Si conoces a Andrés, sabrás que lleva una vida muy modesta y no pide mucho. Es feliz yendo a la iglesia los domingos y manteniendo a su esposa e hijos como pintor comercial. Quienes conocen personalmente a nuestro hermano Andrés saben que siempre ha llevado una vida normal y humilde, pero ahora no estamos seguros de lo que le deparará el futuro. Oramos para que continúe con una recuperación constante ahora y en el futuro lejano, y que podamos ayudarlo a devolver la alegría a su vida.
