Support Andrés Almonte's Cannes Film Festival Dream

Hi!

My name is Andrés Almonte, I’m a recent Vassar college grad who’s been having a rough time since commencement.

I lost my dad and I’m about to lose my dog and lifelong companion too, and it’s been taking a toll on me in multiple ways. I’ve spent most of this past year trying to treat my dog while under a lot of stress and financial burden. My current job is about to end and I’ll still be left with little to no money once it’s done.

However, despite all this, I was recently given the opportunity to attend the Cannes Film Festival. A mentor of mine from college reached out to me saying he could bring me along but I’d need to pay for my trip to and from France. I instantly turned this down because of course I don’t have that type of money especially with how dire things are right now but I realized if I had help, I’d be able to make this work.

I’ve suffered so much and I’m so tired I just want to enjoy something good in my life right now and it makes me so frustrated that money is still such a barrier for me.

Please help me in my time of need, any and all donations will help. If I can make this trip I’ll be able to further my film career in a way I never thought possible and all the pain and strife I’ve been through this past year will have been worth it and if it all leads to this.
