Hi, my name is Andrea, and I’m creating this GoFundMe for my mom during one of the hardest moments of her life.

A short time ago, my mom suffered a serious fall that completely changed everything. She fractured multiple vertebrae in her spine (L1, L2, and L3) and also fractured a rib. The pain has been overwhelming, and her recovery is long and uncertain. She’s currently unable to work and has been prescribed a brace and strict limitations just to get through daily life.

Because of the severity of her injuries, my mom was forced to take an unpaid medical leave from her job. With no income coming in, medical bills are piling up quickly, and the stress of how she will pay for basic necessities—rent, food, medications, and follow-up care—has added an enormous emotional burden on top of her physical pain.

My mom is the kind of person who is always there for others. She has spent her life working hard, showing up, and putting her family first. Asking for help is not easy for her—or for us—but right now, she truly needs it.

We are raising funds to help cover:

• Medical bills and ongoing treatment

• Basic living expenses while she cannot work

• Recovery-related costs as she heals

Hola, mi nombre es Andrea y estoy creando este GoFundMe para mi mamá durante uno de los momentos más difíciles de su vida.

Hace poco tiempo, mi mamá sufrió una caída grave que lo cambió todo por completo. Se fracturó varias vértebras de la columna (L1, L2 y L3) y también una costilla. El dolor ha sido abrumador, y su recuperación es larga e incierta. Actualmente no puede trabajar y le han recetado un corsé ortopédico y estrictas limitaciones solo para poder sobrellevar la vida diaria.

Debido a la gravedad de sus lesiones, mi mamá se vio obligada a tomar una licencia médica sin sueldo en su trabajo. Sin ingresos, las facturas médicas se están acumulando rápidamente, y el estrés de cómo pagará las necesidades básicas —renta, comida, medicamentos y citas de seguimiento— ha añadido una enorme carga emocional a su dolor físico.

Mi mamá es el tipo de persona que siempre está ahí para los demás. Ha pasado su vida trabajando duro, cumpliendo y poniendo a su familia primero. Pedir ayuda no es fácil para ella —ni para nosotros—, pero en este momento realmente la necesita.
