Support Andrea's Medical Treatment & Recovery

My sister, Andrea Hawkins Blythe, had a brain bleed on May 8th and was flown from Ames to Iowa CIty to the University of Iowa Hospital. She arrived and was taken directly to the OR for her first life saving surgery. As of May 9th, Andrea has undergone two surgeries for a brain aneurysm. She will be in the SNICU, Surgical & Nuerosciences Intensive Care Unit, for the immediate future for advanced neurological monitoring and critical care.

We know Andrea is in the right place to receive the critical care she needs and are hopeful we will continue to move out of the life saving phase of her recovery, to the rehab and occupational therapy phase. Overall results, thus far are positive, and we are hopeful she will recover fully.

Andrea's journey will be likely be long and have challenges. We have started this GoFundMe to help cover her medical costs and support her and Anthony during the coming weeks and months. We thank you for your prayers and for considering supporting Andrea & Anthony.
